
Huck’s Convenience Stores raise $288,000 for Kids in need
Huck’s Convenience Stores announced today that corporate and store level fundraising had resulted in the collection and distributions of $288,000 to assist kids in the local markets of its 107 stores have a great Christmas. Huck’s “Karing for Kids” Program is now in its 7thyear of making a difference in our local communities with the very simple of idea of providing children whose circumstances would have prevented them from celebrating a traditional Christmas the opportunity to go Christmas shopping for themselves and their family.
Huck’s stores, its corporate office and distribution center administer the program on a local basis to help ensure that the funds are used wisely to assist families that are in our markets. Fundraising is conducted through corporate sponsorships, rummage and bake sales and many other innovative types of fundraisers at the store level.
Huck’s CEO, Todd Jenney stated that “We are excited at the support that our vendors, customers and associates have shown once again to “Karing for Kids”. We are not only able to help kids have a better Christmas, but also have the funds for a scholarship program and to conduct other philanthropic activities during the year. This program is our way of including as many people as possible in the extended Huck’s family.”
